|Art Workshop - Saly Hamerton - The Cottage|

A chance to paint in the John Clare Cottage and Gardens.
This is the second in a series of art workshops led by the artist Sally Hammerton.. The theme this month is The Cottage, Inside and Outside.
Sally has been painting for more than 25 years, and is an exhibiting member of the Welland Valley Arts Society and has work in the Florilegium at the Chelsea Physic Garden. She works in watercolours and mixed media.
Working at the John Clare Cottage you will be able to take advantage of the interesting and varied surroundings and contents of the Cottage and Gardens.
Each workshop will have a theme which participants can follow using their medium/media of choice. Drawing and sketching will be included on each occasion to ensure that all those attending have these aspects explained.
If you have materials please bring them with you. There will also materials available and Sally will advise you of materials for the other workshops.
Places are limited and must be booked in advance at the John Clare Cottage.
Tickets cost £45 per session, this includes refreshments and a light lunch(please notify us of any dietary requirements)

Open Mic Session
“A chance to perform”
You are invited to come along to the Café at the John Clare Cottage to play your instruments, sing or listen to other performers.
The evening will be led by the Reverend Dave Maylor (Blues Guitar).
There will be refreshments, including a licensed bar.
Entry is free; there will be an opportunity to give a donation, the monies being divided between the John Clare Trust and St Botolph’s Church.

A Midsummer Night's Dream

Midsummer night. An enchanted forest. Puck and his musical fairy band tell a tale of lovers, mechanicals, and magical mayhem. The critically-acclaimed Pantaloons present their innovative and hilarious open-air version of Shakespeare’s timeless comedy – told, as ever, in their own distinctive and anarchic style.
The performance will take place in the lower garden at the Cottage and will continue in all weather bar a full-blown tempest! Please remember to bring a picnic and something to sit on.

The Panatloons are an outdoor theatre group and bring their own style of presentation of classic works. Their performance and humour will appeal to all the family.
