John Clare Poetry Competition 2013

Our annual poetry competition run by the John Clare Trust is now open for 2013 and entries are invited from people of all ages. The theme for 2013 is 

                                           "Landscape"

 

Poems can be entered by all ages, but are judged in the following age classes which also shows the entry fee.

Under 12 free entry

12-17  free entry

18 and over entry fee £4*

The deadline for the receipt of entries is Wednesday 31 July 2013.  Poems will be judged, by a panel of judges, during the summer.  Finalists from each age category will be invited to read their poems at the Peterborough Poet Laureate final on Sunday 22 September 2013, as part of the We Love Words Festival.

In each age category there will be a prize for the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and Highly Commended poems.

Prize winning poems and highly commended poems from each category will be published in an anthology in due course.
